First draft Translations
The principle reasons for undertaking first draft translations are:
- The translated copy is going to be checked by our customer’s in-house editors/reviewers before publication.
- Translation Management has detailed and extensive knowledge of copy to be translated, having archived legacy translations of similar documentation undertaken for the customer, e.g, technical data sheets, financial reports, investment reviews, web pages.
- The translated copy is for internal management use and not for general publication, e.g. employee newsletters, management reports, internal memorandums and letters.
- Speed. There are occasions when multilingual distribution of time sensitive documentation is paramount, e.g. health and safety alerts, PR announcements, product recalls.
This is not a cut-down service. We use the same qualified mother tongue translators who have specialised knowledge of the subject matter. For new clients we generate glossaries of key terms and phrases for their particular organization. Essential QA is carried out by both our translators, and our Project Managers prior to delivery.
